DESCRIPTION:CONCERTO FINALE \nDELLA MASTERCLASS DI CHITARRA\, IMPROVVISAZIONE E MUSICA D’INSIEME TENUTA DA ELLIOTT SHARP\nMaestro coordinatore: Marco Cappelli\nSala Sollima\n \nDopo tre giorni di lavoro nell’ambito della Masterclass tenuta da Elliott Sharp con gli allievi di chitarra\, gli studenti presentano 4 composizioni in cui la creativita` dei ragazzi si dipana nelle sezioni improvvisative che si articolano sotto la direzione del Maestro. Gli studenti hanno appreso come interpretare e applicare l’approccio algoritmico. le tecniche estese alla preparazione dello strumento e infine teoria e prassi della chitarra moderna inquadrata in una prospettiva storica.\n\nPROGRAMMA \nELLIOTT SHARP – Amygdala  \nMarco Cappelli\, chitarra\n\nELLIOTT SHARP – 4 movimenti per Ensemble di Chitarre \n\n\nLooppool \n\n\nEspace \n\n\nDisruption \n\n\nStrimpellare \n\n\nELLIOTT SHARP – Grimoire \nElliott Sharp\, chitarra\n(All compositions by Elliott Sharp – zOaR Music – BMI) \nElliott Sharp is a composer\, multi-instrumentalist\, producer\, author\, and visual artist who leads the projects Orchestra Carbon\, SysOrk\, and Terraplane and whose compositional strategies encompass fractal geometry\, chaos theory\, algorithmic approaches\, genetic metaphors\, and new techniques for graphic notation. He has been awarded the Berlin Prize\, a Guggenheim Fellowship\, and fellowships from the Foundation for Contemporary Art and the Center for Transformative Media. Sharp is the subject of the documentary Doing The Don’t and has been featured on NPR’s All Things Considered. His composition Storm of the Eye\, for violinist Hilary Hahn\, appeared on her Grammy-winning album In 27 Pieces.
